CHAPTER 20: THE CONVERGENCE!

Dasto has altered the past, and the future is yet to come. I return to my proper time stream in
search of Ted. I will find him or what may be left of him, but I hope he's alive.

MICAH'S LOG: 2378.3

MY RETURN TRIP HAS BEEN HALTED BY THE FINDING OF TED'S OLD SHIP "NIGHT HAWK"
IN ORBIT AROUND THE PLANET ZYMID. AS I REMEMBER, THE MATTER ARRANGER (MA) IS
ABOARD THE SHIP, AND SHOULD HOPEFULLY HELP TED BECOME HIMSELF AGAIN.
RETURNED TO PLANET AND USED THE (MA). IT SAVES TED, BUT TRANSMATS US BACK
TO SOME UNKNOWN PLACE AND TIME.

END LOG

We arrive on Earth, or a place very much like it. Our Tardais has been turned into a large mansion
of some early period. The Tardais control circuits are shot to pieces. Our surroundings appear to be
that of TedCastle. At about four miles, a large group of warlike figures advancing in our direction. Ted
continues repairs on the Tardais without success. The enemy begins breaking through the outer doors
of the castle. The splintering wood erupts through the quiet hallway, and disturbed any spiders that
happened by. Quite soon, we are pinned on the fourth floor fighting to fix the Tardais controls and
dematerialize.

"Ted we can't hold out much longer, we have to leave!"

"Micah, I need one more minute!"

At this moment, he had only to connect two wires together. Suddenly the barbarians broke through
the door, and Ted connected the wires. Ted is thrown against the nearby wall, and his spine cracks on
impact. The barbarians disappear, the Tardais returns to normal, then dematerializes.

"Micah you will ...(cough cough) take over my place...(cough cough) Do what is right. Not in your
mind, but in your heart. My burdens are yours. Do not grieve for (cough cough cough) All I possess is your--"

At that, Ted disappeared. I now was lost, but I would keep his vow and not grieve for him. In my heart, I
knew there was another Theodore out there somewhere in the vastness of space and time.

CHAPTER 21: BERMUDA'S GOODBYE

MICAH'S LOG: 2378.7

I HAVE ARRIVED IN THE CENTER OF THE BERMUDA TRIANGLE, ON THE UNCHARTED ISLE OF
BANADRONE (THE INVISIBLE ISLE). A CALL FOR HELP HAS COME FROM THIS ISLAND...
A CALL FROM MYSELF.

END LOG

Two lone Tardais'es sit on the beach. One being mine, the other unknown. However it had come to be
here, it had been here for quite a long time. It looked as if it had been here for several thousand years by
it's battered and worn exterior. Upon entry, the cold unmoved air stirred something half hidden in shadows.

"Micah, hello. I am a shadow of something that may only... Take this cube and anything else you need.
Hit the red button on the console behind you before..."

"I'm taking you with me. I won't leave a version of Ted or of myself behind like this."

I took what I needed and hauled the being into my Tardais. I finished the repairs, and prepared to head
towards home. The Tardais dematerialized and we were traveling in time-space once again.

"Thank you Micah. I shall never forget your kindness. I must now return to my time-stream and continue
with my task at hand. I shall see you again, goodbye."

At that, he disappeared through a transport hole of some kind, and was gone. The Tardais was battered,
and in bad need of repair, but I was able to return to Tedland. Millions of Tedlanders came to the funeral service
of the Heroic Theodore. They all watched me as I stepped up to the podium to give my speech.

"Welcome friends, family, and many others who knew Ted. There will never again be another of his kind.
I had made a vow to him just before his death, that I would not grieve for him, and I shall not. He has saved
many during his life's journey, and I couldn't save his..."

At that, I rose off the ground and flew above the clouds to see the stars. I floated up there for many hours
watching the aurora as darkness fell upon the land. How those stars had changed since I had traveled out
there among them.

(    Don't forget your vow to me Micah. My adventures are over, but yours are just beginning.)

CHAPTER 22: THE NIGTHMARE AGAIN

At this moment I realized how alive I felt, and remembered how it was when I was lifeless. I thought back
to the year we were aboard the Titanic, and what fun it had been. He saved me for the second time on Aaermos,
and gave me life. I remember how he died, holding my hand.

My recharge that night was restless. Old oppositions, and Bigbunny's death. The lights suddenly go out.
As if someone yelled my name from afar, I slowly turned around. Facing the darkness, I became aware of a pair
of red dots coming nearer. As if by a miracle, one light over the inner hallway comes on to show Ted carefully
stepping toward me. His form blurred and reformed into that of Bigbunny, it blurred again and reappeared as the
evil shadow.

"Hahahahahaha! First I killed Bigbunny, then I killed Ted and now I'll kill you!"

I saw my future fly before me, and I knew one small comfort. Beyond the vastness of space, further still into the
unexplored void, Ted's cry echoes throughout.

(    Micah...)
Journey's End

When I was young,
I traveled the paths.
The paths were long
and rough though all
not smooth.

The journey, long and
quite distinct became a
path of rock and dust.
My travels rough and hard
neared their close.

The hill was mounted
and a view is seen.
The mountains, valley,
and the sun. The clouds
crowd in and all goes dark.
The light now gone, it soon
becomes the journey's end.

Life now faint draws near
its close. My winter near,
and I go forth. Soon now,
my time will end. The end
is mere beginnings to a
longer journey.

The Journey's End is
never over. Never...

    I was alone...

It has been ten years since Ted died and five since the rest died in a tragic accident. The year was 97700.
Our mission, top-secret. It was to locate and recover the remains of the Night Hawk, but the mission was a
failure. After taking the MA (Matter Arranger), the ship slowly lost orbit. Now we had to find it, or its remains.
We searched the catacombs for weeks on end with no results.

Seven weeks since we had arrived, we had not found the Night Hawk, but what we found was amazing.
The third day of that week I discovered the center chamber of the catacombs. This room had smooth near
translucent walls, but the object in the center was most amazing. A jagged section of the Night Hawk lay
semi-embedded below me.

(    Hello Micah. I am glad you found me. My magic has kept me from dying, but now you can finish what
I have begun. This planet is unstable and liable to go sky high very soon!)

As if to prove his point, the ground beneath my feet began to quake. Leaving his thought globe, I tripped
over the escape release mechanism and staggered out of the caves. I hoped I could reach the surface in time,
but too late. I reemerged from the deep cavern, the landscape had already gotten out of hand. A mud burst
kills my team, and the valley below explodes into a fiery volcano. From below, the ground explodes upward
sending me into deep space. With space rubble behind and desolate space ahead, I float alone in the
emptiness for days.

CHAPTER 23: THE PRESENT YEAR 97706

I have drifted in space for nearly a year, mentally counting time and hoping to be on solid ground again.
Suddenly, I was pulled toward Ted's thought globe by a beam of light. Carefully dropping me on the floor of
the globe, the light disappeared.

(    So Micah, we meet again. I am very grateful that you saved me and I felt that I had to do exactly the
same for you. It seems that we will be together for quite some time. Being all alone in this vast and
empty universe too long, I am glad we are once more united.)

     "Ted, we lost Ricky."

(    I knew long before that this would happen, but I hoped it would not.)

"Ted where is the Night Hawk?"

(    What is left of it is here before you. The rest is long gone. We must return to Tedland and return it to
order, for I fear it has been long at war.)

We have returned to Tedland after five million years of being lost in space. Unfortunately after all these years,
TedCastle is covered by many vines and old trees. This was our last and final home no matter how bad it looked.
My magic would repair what damage time has done. The castle began to glow as it used to, but even brighter and
more magnificent than before. From the sky, a voice spoke throughout the land.

"Stop your feuding. Turn toward the castle of hopes and dreams. Return to your old ways!"

Near the great sea where Ted was first crowned king, his present form resides in the lighthouse remaining
there for a hopeful renewal. The storm clouds crowd in.

"I Micah, King of Tedland and Zymid. Ruler of the Seven Isles. God of the ancient world, and High Magician
of Tedland. I now ask, are you ready to accept your duties to this planet, this galaxy and to this universe?"

    "I do."

"Then by the powers invested in me, Ted, and this tower of rock. I pronounce you king of the land!"

Suddenly, lightning flashes through the dark cloudy sky. A roar of thunder and the tumult of waves crash on the
rocks below. All of the people began leaving toward the village in small huddled groups as I slowly cleaned up and
readied for the storm. We entered the lighthouse and prepared for the worst. The rain pelted the roof tiles like rocks
on glass and the wind ran wild. The waves rose higher as the storm increased with greater ferocity. The king
shudders in the corner of the room from the terrible storm. The only light is that of the lightning streaking across the
Tedlandic sky and the continuous glow from the lighthouse lantern.

Three days have passed with no calming of the storm. Each day it seems to grow. The waves have risen to
midway point. I fear that we will not last the rest of the week. The lighthouse is beginning to give way as the sea
continues to rise higher.

Friday has come. We are still here. The lightning flashes and the waves roll higher and higher. The stones are
beginning to rattle slightly and water is creeping under the door to the watch house. Our situation looks dim, and the
water continues to rise. We have been forced to move into Ted's thought globe. I made it. The king slipped on the last
step and fell, but I was able to catch him. At that moment, the whole lighthouse gave way and collapsed into the sea.
Ted's thought globe hovered in the same location, but the king was hanging precariously in midair. My hands were the
only thing keeping him from plummeting to his death.

"Hold on, I've got you. Don't let go!"

"Oh..." he gasped as he began to slip out of my grasp, "Help me please!"

He fell... I had to go after him. I leapt quickly and carefully slipped him on my back. I opened my wings and flew to
the far cliff above the ruined lighthouse. We landed in time to see all the clouds fade away, the lighthouse reappear, and
Ted's thought globe rise into the air to eclipse the sun. The world grew dark and my surroundings were replaced by a
landscape of ice and snow. Ted's thought globe slowly descended to ground level and began to implode pulling me with it.
The world around me grew fuzzy, sending me into the unknown.

CHAPTER 24: IN ENGLAND

Coming clearer into focus out of a very strange dream, I found myself in a train station lying precariously on an old
metal and wood long-bench surrounded by baggage. I fell and landed roughly on the dirty platform

"Anyone know where I can find Dr. Jhan?"

I was suddenly jolted out of my thoughts when I heard my name called. I answered in reply, standing up and dusting
my pants off. A balding man with a snow-white beard down to his waist and an odd picking of clothes hobbled towards
me. He pushed through the large crowd bumping into other people, to come to a stop in front of me. He dropped a small
letter at my feet, and disappeared back into the crowd. Inside the old envelope, a yellowing piece of paper with a very
fancy handwriting.

TO DR. JHAN

Ye presence is required at the Hiffjoffle Castle this fine evening to catch up on the latest events
of my brother's demise. I entrust that you will have a comfortable journey. I will be unable to meet
you tonight. I have entrusted your care to my servants. They will show you to your room and give
you a tour of the castle. I hope to see you in person tomorrow evening in the great hall for dinner at 7.

Hampron Jhan.
