MICAH ROBINSON'S

IS THE DARKNESS RISING
WRITTEN 03/12/2003

How can one see from behind closed eyes?
How can one see the world from behind a
closed mind? How can one see the colors
that surround us each and every day. Tell
me, is the darkness rising? Is the
darkness rising?

When the darkness it rises and all is
thrown into pain. We can sail on the
silv'ry moon bright. We can follow a
guiding star. We can lean on a friend if
we have to.

How can one know the things there are?
How can one know the thing that have
been? How can we know what may come
and what may go. Tell me, is the
darkness rising? Is the darkness rising?

When the darkness it rises and all is
thrown into pain. We can sail on the
silv'ry moon bright. We can follow a
guiding star. We can lean on a friend
if we have to. Tell me, is the darkness
rising? Is the darkness rising?

When the shadows of this life have faded
to gray. And there's nothing left to say
anymore. When we sail on the silv'ry
moon are we blinded on our way home.
When we follow a guiding star will it
lead us home, through the dark. When we
lean on the friend, will he be there to
lean on in the end.

When the darkness it rises and all is
thrown into pain. We can sail on the
silv'ry moon bright. We can follow a
guiding star. We can lean on a friend
if we have to. Tell me, is the darkness
rising? Is the darkness rising, tonight?
