MICAH ROBINSON'S

IS THE DARKNESS RISING (PREWRITTEN EDITION)
COMPOSED 03/12/2003

How can one see the sunset from behind closed eyes?
How can one appreciate life from behind a closed
mind? How can one see the colors that surround us
each and every day? Tell me, will the darkness rise?

When the darkness rises from the night and all is
thrown into pain. We can sail on the silv'ry moon
bright. We can find our way in the darkness if we
have to. Tell me, will the darkness rise?

How can one see magic that hides in those dark eyes?
How can one know what may come and what may go?
When we are lonely who can we count upon to ease the
pain? Tell me, will the darkness rise?

When the darkness rises from the night and all is
thrown into pain. We can sail on the silv'ry moon
bright. We can lean on a friend if he's there to
ease the pain. Tell me, will the darkness rise?

Are we lonely when the darkness crowds 'round?
Can we stand upon the mountain and wonder why?
Are we alone there? Can we still travel home?
Tell me, is the darkness rising? Is the darkness rising?

When the darkness it crowds 'round our souls, we say.
Will the darkness rise? Will the darkness rise?

When the darkness rises from the night and all is
thrown into pain. We can sail on the silv'ry moon
bright. We can lean on the lonely hearts flight.
We can try to understand their might. We can know
what the darkness may hold dear. Tell me, is the
darkness rising?

Tell me, is the darkness rising?
