MICAH ROBINSON'S

THE THOUGHT
WRITTEN 2/2/97 SUNDAY

Am I to continue to walk through
the valley of pain and suffering.
Do I tread the same inexorable
rhythm as the clock's beat. Am I
to be punished for wrongs done
in previous lives. Am I the only
one to understand the value of
the life that treads unbearingly
like a clock's chimes. Is it only
like a pearly gate which has closed
upon me. Not even a whisper of wind
through the loch. Am I to be lionized
in future years only to stand near the
castle where the rotting noise lies
between me and a peaceful loch.
Shall I always stand near the thresh
hold forever trying.
